Privacy Policy

The Bright Paper is a daily digest of positive news headlines. This page explains what happens to information when you visit.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name, email address, or payment details. When you rate a story with a thumbs up or thumbs down, we store a random identifier in your browser so your own rating can be shown back to you and changed. That identifier is not linked to you personally.

Cookies and advertising

This site shows advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Third-party content

Every story links to the publisher that wrote it, and story photos are loaded from those publishers. Once you follow a link, that publisher's own privacy policy applies.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Questions can go to the address on our contact page.
